The First Sermon of the Risen Jesus: Receive the Spirit and Remit Sins
Oct 22, 2026 • Pastor Paul Craig
This message walks through John 20 to show how the resurrected Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene, the disciples, and Thomas. Jesus’ first words after rising were to receive the Holy Ghost and to remit the sins of others, which opens the door to freedom from unforgiveness. The sermon closes with Acts 1 and Matthew 24 as a reminder that Jesus is coming back and that believers are the generation born to be changed in the twinkling of an eye.
